Serenity in Stone: Embracing Nature in Chaves
In the serene countryside of Chaves, a house gracefully integrates with its surroundings. Positioned on a hillside, the design cleverly adapts to the natural contours, forming two levels. A stone wall separates an olive grove from a garden, guiding the layout of two simple stone structures. The entrance is nestled between these two volumes, delineating the communal areas from the private zone of the house.
The communal zone comprises a spacious living room with a dining area boasting prime views of the pool and landscape. The kitchen, oriented towards the entrance, connects seamlessly with a service area and laundry room.
The private zone features three bedrooms, one of which is a suite complete with a walk-in closet, a shared bathroom, and a study. At the main entrance, there is a guest bathroom and access to the semi-basement level.
This lower level, mirroring the upper floor, houses a sizable garage for three cars and storage, along with a bathroom and a multipurpose room. This versatile space can serve as a party or game room, or even a gymnasium, offering flexibility and functionality to the inhabitants. Built with local granite, the LP house seamlessly merges with the landscape, embodying the region's character and charm.
